Caroline is Research Director at Analysys Mason, responsible for the company’s Cloud and Platform Services practice which researches the impact of cloud technologies on networking, operations and services, including the market opportunity for edge computing. Caroline has over 30 years’ experience as a telecoms software analyst and consultant.
Chinn leads the Smart Nation Platform Solutions Group, and is responsible for the overall management, including the design, development and implementation of technical solutions for the Sensors Platform and Digital Districts. Chinn brings with him more than 25 years of experience in software development, cloud implementation, and long-range business planning and execution in the Architecture, Engineering, Construction, Manufacturing and Media and Entertainment industries. He was a Software Architect and Lead Strategist at Autodesk, spearheading regional projects in the design, development and implementation of Smart Cities and Digital Architecture, Engineering, Construction and Manufacturing Solutions. Prior to joining Autodesk he founded AKSAAS, which was acquired by Autodesk in 2014. He started his career with Singapore Computer Systems as a Systems Specialist on military systems after graduating from Taylor University with a Bachelor of Science, and holds a Master of Technology in Knowledge Engineering from NUS.
Ahmed is leading multiple Network Transformation initiatives for Cloud in the areas of NFV, SDN, Orchestration, Cloud Native, Containers, private and public Cloud and Next Generation IP Networks including segment routing, Transport SDN, Intent-based Networking, and many others.
He has a Multivendor Experience in Consulting, Design and Planning. Before joining STC, Ahmed was IP and Telco Cloud Principal Architect with Etisalat leading the IP/MPLS and Telco Cloud Architecture, Design and Planning.
Ahmed is actively contributing to various Standard Development Organization and Open source communities. He is a member of The End User Advisor Group (EUAG) within the Linux Foundation Networking & ETSI Open Source MANO (OSM), an Advisor for ETSI NFV ISG and ETSI MEC, founder of the OpenStack End User Group in Egypt.
Ahmed is Vice-chair of GSMA Telco Edge Cloud, Chair of Cloud iNfrastruture Telco Task Force (CNTT) Edge Workstream , CNTT – TIP Liaison officer, LFN EUAG- CNTT Liaison officer, co-author of a couple of IETF draft RFC covering Service Function Chaining using SRv6, and has contributed to many industrial white papers cover NFV, Telco Cloud, Orchestration.
As Chief Marketing and Chief Strategy Officer at Accedian, Richard is responsible for Accedian’s strategic planning process and investment priorities, ensuring the development of a consistent brand communications and marketing strategy, and for driving Accedian’s commercialization efforts in the areas of global product pricing, solution marketing, and business development.
Richard began his career at Nortel Networks in 1992 as a test engineer for their public carrier switching division. From there, he segued into focusing on the wireless industry, taking on a variety of senior roles at Nortel within sales, operations, and supply chain during his 17 years at the company. After Nortel, he was vice president and general manager for BlackBerry’s North American business, and general manager of Viavi’s Visibility, Intelligence and Analytics (VIA) business unit.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering, RF specialization, from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario.
Patrick founded Accedian in 2004 and serves as Founder and Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors. With more than twenty-five years in the telecom industry, he has filed several patent applications and has published dozens of industry conference proceedings and technology articles. Prior to founding Accedian, Patrick was co-founder of Avantas Networks and launched the industry’s first portable Ethernet and SONET field-services test-set. Avantas was acquired for US$93M by EXFO Electro-Optical Engineering and Patrick continued his role in product management and participated in several M&A activities at the executive level. Prior to Avantas, he was part of the initial Positron Fiber Systems (PFS) team that commercialized the industry’s first Ethernet over SONET Multi-Service Provisioning Platform (MSPP). PFS was acquired by Reltec in 1997 for $200M, and subsequently by Marconi. Patrick is the recipient of the 2011 Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year award in Quebec in the technology solutions category for recognition of his exceptional leadership in driving growth, development and innovation in the industry.
Gerhard is responsible for the leadership of Accedian’s EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region.
Prior to joining Accedian, Gerhard held senior sales leadership roles with Spirent where he grew and developed the EMEA market. Previous to Spirent, Gerhard expanded his breadth of management, sales, and customer relationship expertise through roles of increasing responsibility and leadership at NETSCOUT, Fluke Networks, Empirix, Viavi Solutions, and Nokia.
With more than two decades of experience in delivering testing and monitoring, performance management, and customer experience-centric solutions, he is uniquely qualified to lead Accedian’s efforts in the region, bringing a deep understanding of the EMEA market and organizational structure required to develop an ecosystem for success for both Accedian and their customers to thrive.
Anthony is responsible for driving, supporting, and scaling Accedian’s presence in the Asia Pacific region. He applies his previous experience in international sales strategy, product management, and operations at Ciena and Nortel to create strong engagement with customers and partners.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in business (Accounting/Finance major) and a Master of Business Administration from University of Technology in Sydney, Australia.
Jelte is strategic product manager with a globally connected focus. He works at Telenor Connexion that connects IoT devices in more than 180 countries. In previous roles he worked with in strategic roles with user data management and analytics at Ericsson. Jelte bridges technology with business, based on 14 years of telecommunication experience in various roles from strategic management to practical software architect and development.
